Saint Louis Police Department—Shameful!

Re-published – Near Death by Police

I’m so tired of pretending like it’s not that bad, when I know it really is just that bad. Black men and women all over the country being accosted or worse killed at the hands of the police officers. I didn’t want to blog another incident. But you have to say something L.A. on incidents where 44-year old Bernard Scott arrested for traffic violations and ends up in a coma.

St. Louis Police blocked paramedics (they called) from taking him to emergency for abdominal pains and bleeding. It was reported that a police officer who had already changed in to his street clothes to accompany the inmate, was shut down by his supervisor. Paramedics from Northeast Fire Protection District begged the police to allow the transport but were flatly refused. Paramedics were called back just fourteen minutes later, and the St. Louis Police department claimed that Mr. Scott had hung himself in his cell with a shoestring.

Lies! And Mr. Scott lived to speak about it, basically saying why would he hang himself over traffic tickets. This is so ridiculous L.A., I had to Say Something. You should Say Something too.

NY Commissioner Bratton Says Race had Nothing to Do With It!

Tennis Star James Blake, once ranked number four in the world as a professional player, was attacked by some of NYPD’s finest. Officer James Frascatore “slammed” Blake to the ground and handcuffed him in a case of mistaken identity. They had a witness, so without questioning him or asking him if they could speak with him, the policeman tackled him to the ground, and his brothers in blue helped him cover up what he did. Police Commissioner Bill Bratton says it wasn’t racially motivated. He fit the description the suspect “looks like the twin brother of Mr. Blake.” Well…he wasn’t his twin. The crime that he was allegedly suspected of was credit card theft not murder. So what warranted this man being thrown to the ground, without a word to him.

The police officer could have asked him some questions, possibly allowing him to provide you with his I.D. show you the U.S. Open card he had in his pocket. But according to Bratton, race had nothing to do with it. Eric Garner got choked to death for pedaling cigarettes. I guess we should THANK GOD you weren’t murdered. Bratton, says it wasn’t race related, but James Blake thought it was and he kept talking about it, which is the only reason the situation was addressed. There are some good police out there…somewhere. Race related, we can’t always say that’s the case, but a lot of times in urban communities, it fits the description. What do you think, SaySomethingLA.

Donald Trump for President, I don’t think so! #Leader for the G.O.P

Update: Donald Trump is leading the Republican party’s nominees in the poll at 34%

I know some of what he is saying is resonating with a lot of Americans, stronger border control, more jobs, restoring the United States to it’s global position, I get all of that! But the way he attacks Mexicans, Women, Muslims, and people in general says a whole lot about his character. And when he says things like “you don’t want to know what I would have done.” I want to reply actually I do. I don’t see attacking people with disabilities as a quality I want in a leader. And don’t you think it’s kind of weird how he attacks the Hispanic community and Muslim Community. When his first wife, had been in the country and had children and didn’t become a citizen until 1988, and his third wife didn’t become a citizen until 2006. It just seems some what hypocritical of someone who reportedly cheated on his first wife with his second to throw stones at other candidates marriages. I don’t know L.A., tell me your thoughts at SaySomethingLA.com

Well I don’t know why anyone is surprise. He may be rich and smart but look closely at this guy. His hair is swoop to the front with a flip, and honestly he has the eyes of one of the grand dragons of the Klan. (That’s just appearance I know) But, when you have a sixty-nine year old adult making generalizations about a whole entire race of people, that causes one to pause and ask what is really going on. The endorsements he’s losing probably want mean much, but people matter, and we can show him at the polls, that we are not about hatred and racism. What is your position L.A. Do you stand with or against “the Donald.”

“Posing” Disingenuous, Unappreciative Raven Symone

Raven Symone a child star who basically gained notoriety appearing on African-American shows is now spewing negativity about the same ethnic group. She’s not African-American, she’s American. And to validate this she brings up her DNA test from Ancestry.com. “I am from every continent in Africa except for one, and I’m also from every continent in Europe except for one.” Well how about this, Africa is a continent and Europe is a continent. These continents are not made up of other continents. So if Ancestry.com told you that maybe you should get your money back.

Raven also chimed in supporting Rodner Figueroa’s negative comments about the first lady of the United States of American who happens to be African-American looking like animal, but you ha ha ha look like “a bird” …no, more like a baboon’s behind. You are an American, guess what the African-Americans are American too. Thank goodness you are not African-American. We are those genuine, loving, intelligent people who have given America BB’s jazz, Ella’s voice, the whole language and culture of Hip Hop and so much more. We, African-Americans have contributed much to this America, blood, sweat and tears. I get, you want to make yourself relevant in today’s tinsel town. But get this we are not missing a thing because you are not African-American.

Don’t Say Nothing L.A. this is all the pen, we give her. Unappreciative, disingenuous, poser.

#EmpireFOX Got That Fire

I don’t know how FOX ended up with this show, but it is FIRE. I cannot wait for the 2 hour finale. It’s about to “GO Down.” Big ups to Lee Daniels, Terrence Howard, Taraji “Cookie” Henson, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers “He does crazy really well, lol”, Bryshere Gray, and Grace Gealey but “she ain’t Cookie tho” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRHZGMCeEsk The rest of the cast is awesome. I know you watching L.A.

OU Gives Sigma Alpha Epsilon the Boot!

Saturday, March 7, was Founder’s Day for the University of Oklahoma. And on the way to a formal celebration Sigma Alpha Epsilon partied by chanting “There will never be an n—r in SAE, There will never be a n—r in SAE, you can swing from a tree, but you’ll never sign with me… and so on. They were outed by an African-American association on campus who sent the Daily Oklahoman the video. This was heavily dialogued about in my African American family. One of the frat members is the son of a very , close friend to one of my family members. How does one deal with that. Was it a terrible mistake or are you just upset you were caught and this is truly who you are.

If it is who you are, I’d rather you stick to that. If is not, I know that young people or people period, make mistakes. And thank goodness we have an opportunity to learn and grow from our mistakes. I mean every thing young people do is FACEBOOKED, Instagramed, SnapChatted, Vined, Tweeted and whatever else. And I get that, college is difficult, you’re way from home making decisions for yourself and it is not always easy. You want to fit in. But, I wonder… what this frat, this brotherhood could tell you that would overshadow your upbringing, what your parents taught you, what friends have shown you. I really want to know. Again, I know that everyone makes mistakes and if that is what this was for you, a mistake, this is very difficult lesson, this fire that you are walking through that will hopefully help you be better a person. It will take some time but it will get better.

That being said, I have to commend the swift action on the part of the OU, they “Shut it Down” literally. Kudos to OU’s President David Boren, who stated there is know room for racists and bigots here, and that the OU community is about respecting each other. To Erik Striker and the OU Football team way to stand up. Now, we all know that society is made up of all types of people, and therefore, racists are at all the schools Arizona State University-MLK Black Party, Texas University-Bleach balloons, Alabama Racist Snapchat, the list is too way long. But, know that there are good people out there, the person that turned over the tape to the Black Student Association was probably not African-American. So, even in that fraternity there are probably some good people. Well at least I think so, What do you think, Say Something L.A.

Brian Williams – Journalist: Second Chance, Y/N?

Recently, Brian Williams a journalists made an apology to some military personnel for sensationalized a story. We all know other journalists never do that! They never shade or outright lie when they are reporting a story. (Lies!) So as the story went Brian ( like I know him ) told viewers that he was onboard a helicopter that was forced down in Iraq. Well the soldiers that were actually onboard got on him. And said no you weren’t onboard, you were on the helicopter following. Mr. Williams should have never said that, he lied. So, he apologized, to the military and to his viewers. People  in the military, make mistakes, and in some cases that’s why they went to the military in the first place, for a 2nd chance. I will say that my respect for him dropped a tad. But on a scale from 1 to 10, I would still rate him a 7 as far as journalist go. The reporting he did for Hurricane Katrina, excellent, I understand, that’s now being fact checked.  But, multiple stations reported Katrina, he just did the best job.

I don’t really feel there is a journalist out there that has so much integrity that they are giving us the facts straight up. Even with this knock against him, I find him to be one of the more creditable journalists. So, I’m about second chances. He made a mistake. But , Mr. Williams if you are man enough to take accountability for your actions and be better going forward, a lot of people will stand by you. SaySomethingL.A. Would you give Mr. Williams a 2nd chance?
