My Country tis of thee

Almost every single time it happens, I think somehow the good people of the United States are going to wake up and say, we are not going to tolerate it. Given the history we have with the “Negroes, Blacks, African-Americans” of this country. We are going to be better, we are going to do better. This beloved country has evolved, we voted in a Black President and the world rejoiced with us! And yet… it continues, the rapes of children, the bombings of the churches, the beatings and the blatant contempt for these people, my people is never ending. It continues…from Emmett to Trayvon, from Megar to Garner this ish continues. And now it’s dressed up in “probable cause.”
