The 23rd Annual Pan African Film & Arts Festival started February 5, and ends tomorrow February 16. This event is being hosted at the Baldwin-Crenshaw Shopping Plaza and it is exceptional!!! There are so many worthy films here, and trust me there is something for everyone. The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution, Children of the Genocide, Bound: Africans vs. African Americans, The Man in 3B Directed a fan favorite, really hard go get tickets for that one, I think there’s one last showing available, tomorrow night at 10:00 p.m. But the jewel in the festival, Triangle-Going to America by Sost Maezen. This story was about a group of Ethiopians, Eritreans, and other immigrants volatile journey and story getting to America. The storyline was exciting, dramatic, funny and it encompassed love. Yes, it did all of those things. And I love that we got to speak with the cast members. There are just so many, many, great films. One more day L.A. Don’t miss this!
